This Privacy Policy explains how Crimewave ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Crimewave is operated by Voltra Media. By using the app you agree to this policy.
To create a mugshot, you upload or capture a photo. That image is transmitted to our third-party image-generation provider for the sole purpose of producing your stylized result. The photo is processed transiently to generate the output and is not used by us to build a profile of you, to identify you, or for advertising. We do not use your photos to train AI models.
The app requests access to your camera and/or photo library only so you can select or take the photo you want to transform. Access is used only when you actively choose a photo. You can change these permissions at any time in your device Settings.
Crimewave does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number. We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or browsing activity. Location metadata embedded in photos is not used by us and is not retained.
Purchases (subscriptions and credit packs) are processed by Apple and managed through your App Store account. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate purchases and entitlements. These providers process a non-identifying purchase token and subscription status so the app can unlock paid features. We never receive your full payment-card details.
We may collect basic, non-identifying technical and crash information to keep the app working and to fix bugs. This data is not used to identify you.
Crimewave relies on the following service providers, each with their own privacy practices: our AI image-generation provider (to create your mugshot), Apple (App Store, purchases), and RevenueCat (purchase management). We encourage you to review their respective policies.
Crimewave is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can stop providing photos at any time, revoke camera/photo permissions in your device Settings, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store account. To make a privacy request, contact us at the address below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
